MS120 Pen Scanner

The MS120 series bar code wands are targeted toward low reading volume and cost effective solutions. The advanced optics and electronic design convert bar code labels into a high quality digital signal. Able to read color, faded and low contrast barcodes quickly and accurately, the MS120 is a proven solution.

The polished sapphire tip reduces wear on labels and is also easily replaced if damaged. The MS120 is available with three different interfaces. The MS120-A is an undecoded model which interfaces via a 9pin squeeze release connector. The MS120-2 has an RS232 interface with a built in decoder. With a key-board wedge (AT or PS/2) interface the MS120-3 also has a built-in decoder.

Its shape gives the MS120 the comfort and handling of a normal ink pen. Just sweep the tip of the wand across the bar code in either direction and listen for the "good read" beep that lets you know the data has been successfully captured. It doesn't get any easier than that.

The MS180's flexible, multiple interface design supports keyboard wedge, RS232, USB, wand emulation and sixteen popular terminals by simply replacing the cable. This feature also prevents downtime caused by damaged cables. In addition, the IBM PC XT/AT keyboard wedge interface supports 8 different character sets.

The powerful built-in decoder reads and discriminates all major symbologies, reducing processing time and labor costs, while increasing accuracy. The decoder also allows editing and modifying scanned data before sending it to the host device.

Barcode menus provide extensive configuration options. The settings can then be cloned to other readers through the use of custom bar code labels.

The decoded MS830 supports keyboard wedge interface for PS/2, AT, RS232, USB, & Wand. When used as a keyboard wedge, the operation of the keyboard remains unaffected. It uses a 3-in-1 interface which makes it easy to select and replace connection cables.

Like our other scanner products, configuration of the MS830 is fast and easy. A bar code menu provides extensive setup options. A simpler quick setup menu lets users configure common features. Once ready, the configuration can be cloned and applied to other units through the use of custom bar code labels. This is very useful when you need to deploy large installations.

Even complex and difficult configurations are amazingly easy to set up via Scanner Configuration Manager software.
